On the Move: Tom Krizmanic Joins Gensler as Studio Director

Tom Krizmanic, AIA, has joined Gensler as studio director in the firm’s New York office. Krizmanic most recently served as principal at STUDIOS Architecture, where he spearheaded the __design of tech and media offices for Marimekko, Shutterstock, MTV Networks, HBO, Dow Jones, Scholastic, Bloomberg LP, and Grey Advertising.


After receiving a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the Catholic University of America, Krizmanic started interning at STUDIOS’ Washington, DC, outpost in 1989. In 1997, he led the __design efforts of the firm’s newly opened New York office, where his sharp design acumen and successful client collaborations resulted in a promotion to principal.


“I’m looking forward to starting a new chapter at Gensler, where I’ll be focusing on designing workplaces that cater to the ever-evolving needs of media industry clients,” Krizmanic says.

TPG Architecture has appointed Carly Jacobson to design director. Jacobson joined the firm in 2008 and has contributed to projects including the Spotify New York and MullenLowe Winston-Salem offices.

Peter Nicolosi (pictured) has been named Associate at Stonehill & Taylor. Most recently serving as senior architect, Nicolosi is lending his 17 years of experience to design high-profile New York projects such as Moxy NoMad (opening in 2018) and HY36, a Crowne Plaza hotel.

HDR’s Omaha outpost welcomes Caroline Hinrichs as principal of client and community relations. Hinrichs brings over 11 years of experience in community engagement, most recently serving as president-elect of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (Nebraska Chapter) and sitting on multiple community boards in Omaha.

Global architecture and interior design firm CetraRuddy has promoted four team members to associates. Branko Potocnik and Kevin Lee have been named associate principals, with Lindsey Doren and Maria Clironomos named associates.

Christy Hubbard (pictured) has been promoted to design director of the Gettys Group. Throughout her 11-year tenure, Hubbard has worked on high-profile projects such as Le Meridien Atlanta Perimeter, the Sheraton Bloomington Hotel and Hotel Ivy near Minneapolis, the Westin in Jackson, Mississippi, and the Al Ghurair Centre in Dubai.


Caracole
Furniture manufacturer Caracole has appointed Tim O’Hare to senior vice president of creative merchandising. Formerly serving as a senior partner at H. Thomas Keller and Associates for 24 years, O’Hare designed furniture for both Caracole and its parent company, Schnadig.

Perkins+Will
Global architecture and design firm Perkins+Will has named Ted Shaw as associate principal in its New York office. Shaw previously served as a senior associate at the firm, which he joined over a decade ago.


Stevens & Wilkinson, Inc.
Stevens & Wilkinson, Inc. has appointed Janice Wittschiebe (pictured) to the board of directors as vice president. Wittschiebe, with 30 years of leadership experience, will contribute to executive decisions about strategic planning, finance, and personnel at the Atlanta-based firm.


Florida Tile
Michael Franceschelli, CEO of Florida Tile, has been elected president of Tile Council of North America (TCNA). Prior to his current role, Franceschelli served for four years as the TCNA’s vice president.


HBF
Kathy Kelly has joined commercial furnishings manufacturer HBF as regional sales manager for their Chicago-based sales team. Alan Cavallaro has also joined the HBF Textiles’ New York City team as Textiles Sales Representative.

HOK has appointed Bill Bouchey as director of interiors at the firm’s New York office. Bouchey will oversee operations and client relationship management while serving as principal-in-charge for projects. Bouchey previously was the design director at VOA.


Felder and Associates
Daniel Reynolds has joined Savannah, Georgia–based architecture and design firm Felder & Associates as project associate. A SCAD graduate, Reynolds previously worked at Studio S2 as a project associate.


Nemo Tile
Nemo Tile announced that Ann Feierabend has joined the New York–based tile and stone distributor as its first national account manager. Feierabend will work under the helm of Clarice Cawood, the company’s director of national accounts, to strengthen sales throughout the Midwest and West.
