Customizable Nook Bed by Carlos Tiscar Does It All

Tiscar Design’s Carlos Tiscar has turned a place to sleep into a self-contained empire with Nook, a bed for Meubles JJP that’s customizable—no, transformable. The pencil-post steel frame serves as a scaffold for dozens of add-ons, all assembled with an Allen wrench: a desk with built-in LEDs and data ports, trim cupboards, a guest-bed trundle. For real personalization, start with 20 colors for the melamine surfaces. Synthetic straps intertwine as a headboard, unless you prefer panels or padding. Hang a flat-screen TV at the foot. Add hooks, mirrors, or even a bike rack. Oh, yeah… you can sleep in it, too.
