Rachel Comey Clothing Reimagined as Ceramics

Bari Ziperstein admits it: She knocked off Rachel Comey’s spring-summer fashion collection. But hold the lawyers. Once Ziperstein and Comey connected on Instagram, they realized they shared a passion for ceramics. So Ziperstein freely appropriated Comey’s style in 11 limited-edition vessels for her signature housewares brand, BZippy & Company. Leopard borrows a swim print, while Leather is a vehicle for solids. The cords that accessorize Rope recall bracelets, and a woven metal overlay inspired Chain. The form of flattery must have proved sincere: Select pieces are also sold in Comey’s Los Angeles boutique.
