San Francisco firm Leddy Maytum Stacy Architects has received the 2017 AIA Architecture Firm Award. 1. Rene Cazenave Apartments
The San Francisco apartment complex houses the chronically homeless and features a green roof, photovoltaic and solar hot water panels, and a landscaped central courtyard.
2. Ed Roberts Center
Located at a regional transit hub in Berkeley, California, the community center contains offices and support spaces for the disabled community and embodies Universal __design principles.
3. North Beach Branch Library
A LEED Gold structure, the triangular San Francisco library features double-height reading rooms and corner glazing that creates a series of urban lanterns.
4. Nueva School at Bay Meadows
Containing a library, student center, and classrooms for a 1967 California school, the LEED Gold building incorporates recycled cypress, a green roof, and rainwater collection.
