Alessi Unveils Curated Program Called ALESSI for Designers
Italian housewares brand Alessi has announced the launch of ALESSI for Designers, a program that will provide interior designers access to a curated selection of Alessi products. The program, which is currently only available to designers in North America, will help to raise visibility of the brand outside of Europe by catering to the needs of designers and their clients across North America.
Currently Alessi has more than 2,000 objects available in its catalog, but most of these items are classified for wholesale distribution only. With ALESSI for Designers, design professionals can select specific housewares based on the style and needs of their clients.
“The interior design community in North America is a phenomenon that has no equivalent in Europe, particularly in Italy, where Alessi is based,” says Paolo Cravedi, managing director of Alessi North America. “We recognize the importance of this community and their powerful role in this market. At the same time, we understand that many designers here either don't know of Alessi and/or are not aware of how Alessi can serve this community. With Alessi for Designers, our goal is to raise the visibility of our brand in this hugely influential market, be it residential or commercial.”
Alessi plans to have a website dedicated to ALESSI for Designers available later this year, and a design discount will be available for accredited design professionals. Product categories will include Lobby Lounge, Board and Conference Room, Restaurant and Bar, Bathroom and Spa, and Residential.
“The benefit for designers will be the ability to complete their work with accessories that reflect the quality and brilliance of their design, and ultimately to differentiate themselves and their clients,” Cravedi says.
Alessi was founded in 1921 by and past designers have included Aldo Rossi, Michael Graves, Philippe Starck, and Karim Rashid. For more information, designers can contact Marie-Laure Chevriau at marie-laure.chevriau@alessi.com or (212) 431-1310.
