DittoHouse Launches Kid-Friendly Blankets With a Graphic Punch

Cleveland Sunrise by DittoHouse.

Location: Cleveland, Ohio.

Molly Fitzpatrick had two life-changing experiences last year: the arrival of a son and the launch of DittoHouse, a line of jaunty textiles. Coincidence? “I quickly learned that comfy-cozy blankets are an essential part of every happy house,” the Cleveland-based designer recalls. Soon there was another birth—For You and Me—a collection meant for cuddling, snuggling, or perhaps an impromptu picnic. The 50-by-60-inch blankets are woven of recycled cotton and polyester in family-owned textile mills in New Jersey. Paintings by Ellsworth Kelly and furniture by Charles and Ray Eames inform patterns like Cleveland Sunrise, a freeform assembly of stacked stripes, and Chit Chat, a constellation of smiles. Geometric fragments collide in Warp, while color fields dance across For You.
