Thirty years on from a life-changing meeting with the man who was to become her husband, the Scottish-born Amelie, Duchesse de Magenta, remains at the helm of the Château de Sully in Burgundy

Amelie lives in one of the oldest chateaux in Burgundy, set in acres of parkland. The moat was designed so that when a person stands on the very edge of it, the whole of the Château de Sully can be seen reflected in the water.
