The Young Gardeners Series

Millennials (those born between the 1980s and early 2000s) have grown up in the age of the Internet. Theirs is a coded world of constant connection, dictated by analytics and algorithms, viewed on an ever-increasing series of screens. One reaction to this sometimes overwhelmingly digital world is to prioritise wilderness and to return to all things tangible and earthy. Increasingly Generation Y are putting down their smartphones and tablets, picking up their trowels and getting out into the garden. Here we ask the next generation of gardeners about the places and plants which inspire them...
